Information We Collect
MyGarage is designed with privacy-first principles. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal documents or data to any external servers.
- All documents are stored locally on your device
- Text recognition and image analysis happen on-device
- No account registration is required
- No personal information is collected
Local Data Storage
All your documents, photos, and car information are stored exclusively on your device. This includes:
- Scanned documents and photos
- Recognized text from OCR
- Car information and specifications
- Timeline events and service records
Analytics
We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics data to improve the app experience. This data never includes document contents, personal information, or any identifiable data.
AI Features
MyGarage uses two AI systems: Apple Intelligence processes data on-device for insights and suggestions — no data leaves your device. Google Gemini may process document text for classification, tagging, and chat features when cloud AI is used. No document images are sent to external servers.
iCloud Backup
When you enable iCloud backup, your data is stored in your personal iCloud Drive. This data is protected by Apple's privacy and security policies. We do not have access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud backup at any time in the app settings.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. The only time data leaves your device is when you explicitly choose to share or export documents.
Security
MyGarage offers biometric authentication (Face ID, fingerprint) and passcode protection to secure access to your documents.
